Chelsea are in talks to appoint Norwich’s Stuart Webber as their new sporting director, according to a report.
New Blues owner Todd Boehly has made several changes to backroom staff at the club since taking over from Roman Abramovic in May, and has been looking for a new sporting director for the past few weeks.
According to The sunWebber is leading the way to take over the role after talks with several other candidates.

Blues owner Todd Boehly has been looking for someone to fill the role for the past few weeks
Webber, 38, has been with Norwich for five years and has accompanied two promotions to the Premier League.
However, he was involved in two relegations, including last year’s disastrous campaign, having previously spent two years at Huddersfield.
He helped the Terriers to the top division in 2017, but were relegated two years later.
Webber has also worked at Wrexham where he was Head of Youth Development, Liverpool, where he worked alongside Kenny Dalglish and former Chelsea manager Rafa Benitez, QPR and Wolves.
