Chelsea have discussed a possible deal for striker Armando Broja in their bid for Leicester City midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
The 25-year-old midfielder has rejected a proposed move to Brighton and is waiting for Chelsea to agree terms with Leicester after an opening bid was made on Friday.
Chelsea are also said to have named David Fofana and midfielder Cesare Casadei in their search for a deal.
Leicester want to sell Dewsbury Hall to meet PSR requirements before the closing date of Sunday 30 June.
Brighton offered Jakub Moder a £25 million transfer fee during negotiations, but Dewsbury-Hall wants a bigger club if he wants to leave his boyhood club Leicester, where he has played since the age of eight.

New Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca is eager to be reunited with the Foxes midfielder
Apart from loan spells at Blackpool and Luton, Dewsbury-Hall has spent his entire career to date at Leicester, making over 100 appearances for the Foxes.
Last season was a productive one for Dewsbury-Hall, who scored twelve league goals.
Meanwhile, the Blues have reached an agreement in principle on a deal to sign 18-year-old Barcelona forward Marc Guiu.
Mail Sport previously reported that Enzo Maresca’s side were keeping a close eye on Guiu as the Blues faced competition from clubs such as Bayern Munich for the striker’s signature.
The club is said to have activated a release clause of just six million euros to start talks with the player.
Mail Sport also recently revealed that Chelsea have launched an investigation into Newcastle striker Alexander Isak.
The 25-year-old made 44 appearances for Leicester in the Championship in the 2023/24 season
Mail Sport understands that discussions have taken place between the clubs and that the Blues have indicated their interest in signing the Sweden international.
They know that any deal would fetch a record fee, on top of the £115 million they paid for Moises Caicedo.
Isak scored 25 goals last season and is one of the most popular players in Europe. His market value is at least double the £63 million Newcastle paid Real Sociedad in the summer of 2022.
In his two seasons at St James’ Park, Isak scored 35 goals and although his first season was blighted by injury, he emerged as one of the most feared attackers in the Premier League last term.
