‘He’s almost UNSELLABLE’: Mark Schwarzer urges former club Chelsea to do everything they can to keep Mason Mount at the club beyond this summer amid reports that Liverpool, Bayern and Man United want to sign the midfielder.
Mark Schwarzer has urged his former club Chelsea to keep the ‘unsaleable’ Mason Mount, with Liverpool, Manchester United and Bayern Munich interested in the midfielder.
Mount’s long-term future in west London has been called into question this year following lengthy contract negotiations between the club and the player.
And Schwarzer insists the Blues must find a resolution to keep the England international on their books.
“It’s almost unsaleable,” Schwarzer told Sky Sports. He is a player you would not sell. He is a Chelsea boy through and through. He has been at the club his entire life.
‘That’s what the fans die for. The fans love that. He is an incredible player. I certainly wouldn’t sell him, as he is such a phenomenal player.”

Former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is reportedly interested in bringing Mount to Bayern Munich.
sports mail revealed in November that Mount, who remains locked in contract negotiations with Chelsea, turned down a £200,000-a-week contract at Stamford Bridge.
The England international is reportedly seeking a salary similar to the £300,000 a week salary that his England team-mate Raheem Sterling has, following his summer move from Manchester City.
Both sides have yet to come to an agreement and with Mount’s current contract expiring next summer, a departure is increasingly likely.
Reports claim that Bayern Munich are the latest club to have shown interest in Mount, his former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel taking charge of the reigning Bundesliga champions last week.
Mount is also reportedly wanted by Liverpool and Manchester United this summer.
Liverpool have expressed interest in Mount with the club keen to rebuild Jurgen Klopp’s midfield this summer.
Manchester United are also believed to be interested in the Chelsea star, while Newcastle are expected to be interested.
Mount has faced increased competition for places at Chelsea, with the club spending £500m on new additions in the last two transfer windows.
Chelsea’s reported loss of £121m last season, which followed a loss of £153.4m the previous season, is likely to force chairman Todd Boehly to sell players in a bid to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations.
