Chelsea Handler reveals threesome with masseuse led her to split with ex Ted Harbert

Chelsea Handler revealed that she ended her four-year relationship with ex-boyfriend Ted Harbert after having a threesome with him and a female masseuse.

During their ménage à trois, the 48-year-old comedian recalled being “very excited by this woman” when she first described the experience on Wednesday’s episode of Andy Radio of SiriusXM.

“I ended up meeting her several times without the guy,” she confessed. “That’s when I knew it was time to break up with the man.”

The former late-night talk show host further admitted that she never told 67-year-old Harbert that she was having a sexual relationship with their massage therapist.

When asked if she would consider adding another lover to the bedroom with her next partner, the New Jersey native called the meeting “nice” and said she would be interested in another one.

“I don’t want to be put in a double team by one guy, but I would like to have another girl in the situation,” she said. ‘You know? She can do all the things I’m too lazy to do.’

Still, Handler then said she would “wonder” why a male partner would want “penetration” from another man.

“Maybe oral is less questionable. I don’t know,” she told listeners. “I’ve never dealt with riddles like this before.”

The People’s Choice Award winner, who has a romantic relationship with rapper 50 Cent and Andre Balazs, clarified that he “slept with a woman” but “has not dated a woman.”

The best-selling author previously stated that she and Harbert split because they struggled to separate business from pleasure.

“When I got home from work, Ted would say, ‘Do you want to watch your show? and I’d say, ‘No, I just got off my show. That’s the last thing I want to do,” she said THR in 2012. ‘That’s why it didn’t work out in the end. I think.’

Handler’s relationship with the broadcast and television executive, who was CEO of Comcast Entertainment Group at the time, began in 2006.

That same year, her hit series, The Chelsea Handler Show, ran from 2007 to 2014 on the E! network.

After he retired in 2010, he married Lisa Medrano the following year.

When Barbara Walters asked her in 2014 if she would “consider a relationship with a woman,” the TV personality replied, “I’m not a lesbian.”

‘I wish I was [a lesbian]’ she joked. “I would help you. I would try to make this interview even more exciting.”

While talking about her relationship with the comedian, 52, Handler said: ‘I’ve changed so much and my love was so great it just blew me open. And as painful as the end of something like this is, I’m so adept at therapy and understand that every door that closes is a new beginning and I truly believe it.”

“I still believe my person is coming, whether it’s Jo Koy at some point or not, I accept that. I love him and he’s on his own path,” she said on the We Can Do Hard Things with Glennon Doyle podcast.

Still, the star said it was “an emotional rollercoaster,” but their relationship just “didn’t work.”

“I’m not going to let myself down,” Handler added. “I have to choose myself.”
