Chelsea Handler excitedly introduced her new rescue puppy Doug to her Instagram followers on Saturday.
The comedian, 48, uploaded adorable photos of the dog, revealing that he is a “complete chow-chow rescue.”
She humorously noted that Doug has her “favorite body type.” COMPLETE.’

She then lovingly hugged her new dog as she posed for a duo of photos during one of his first outings.

Handler shared her message just one day before the Critics Choice Awards ceremony, which she will host.
She previously hosted the awards ceremony at last year’s edition of the event.
It was revealed that the comedian had signed up to reprise her role as presenter of the program last December.
Handler then shared a statement to publicly express her excitement about her return to the awards show.
She stated via The Hollywood Reporter: ‘I’m very happy and excited to be hosting the Critics Choice Awards again this year as last year was one of the most fun nights I’ve had.’
‘There’s no greater reward than making fun of actors and then getting drunk with them. It’s an honor,” she added.
Joey Berlin, CEO of the Critics Choice Awards, also said: “We are thrilled to have Chelsea Handler join us once again to host the Critics Choice Awards. After hosting her last year, we couldn’t wait to have her back on stage.”

Handler is also preparing to kick off her upcoming series of stand-up performances, titled the Little Big B*** tour.
The television personality is currently set to kick off her run of shows with a performance in Edmonton, Alberta on January 19.
The comedian will then tour the United States for much of April, with the second leg of her tour ending on May 26 in Verona, New York.
Handler will next tour Australia and New Zealand, and her run of shows will conclude with a show in Sydney on July 13.
