The proposed loan of Chelsea striker David Datro Fofana to AEK Athens has fallen through.
The 21-year-old is said to be on loan to the Greek club for a full season, with an option for a permanent transfer for £20 million.
As reported by Fabrizio RomanoProblems with the deal arose at the last minute when the clubs began exchanging documents.
The clubs still disagree on several points and there is little time to salvage the deal as the Greek transfer market is almost closed.
Fofana, who plays for Ivory Coast at senior level, signed for Chelsea in January 2023 but is not part of manager Enzo Maresca’s plans.
