Ben Chilwell gifted basketball star Kevin Durant a Chelsea shirt during the club’s tour of the United States.
Chelsea are currently in the US as part of their pre-season tour and will take on Fulham in the Premier League Summer Series, with Durant in attendance.
Durant was given a new Chelsea home shirt with his name and the number 35 – which he wears for the Phoenix Suns – on the back.
Durant has an interest in football, as his investment company Thirty Five Ventures (which he co-founded with business partner Rich Kleiman) invested in MLS club Philadelphia Union in 2020. They also invested in NJ/NY Gotham FC sorority last year.
Chelsea have already played three games in the US, winning 5-0 against Wrexham and 4-3 against Brighton before drawing 1-1 against Newcastle.

After the meeting with Fulham, Mauricio Pochettino’s team has one game left of their tour against Borussia Dortmund in Chicago.
Chelsea have made four signings so far in the summer transfer window, with Nicolas Jackson, Christopher Nkunku, Diego Moreira and Angelo Gabriel.
The Blues will start their new Premier League campaign on August 13 when they host Liverpool.
Chilwell is part of the Chelsea squad that is in the United States for their pre-season tour
