Chelsea have contacted Crystal Palace over a summer takeover for Michael Olise.
The Eagles forward is set to be a serious target for the Blues this summer and the West London side have now made inquiries about the striker.
Olise has a complicated release clause in his contract, which he signed last summer after Chelsea failed to sign him last summer.
Chelsea are now trying to figure out the correct details of Olise’s buyout following their failed 2023 transfer.
Manchester United are also interested in Olise, but have a limited budget to work with.

Chelsea will look to refresh their front line under their new manager Enzo Maresca
Chelsea are looking to revamp their frontline under new manager Enzo Maresca, but there will be a battle for Olise’s signature after his impressive performances at Crystal Palace, in which he scored 10 times and provided six assists despite injuries.
It is understood he is happy under Oliver Glasner in south London, and the Eagles have reportedly paid a £60m fee for the winger, £25m more than what the Blues offered last year when a deal was imminent.
To raise money for deals like this, Chelsea are hoping to sell some big stars such as Conor Gallagher and Romelu Lukaku.
The Blues’ aim for next season under their new boss is to secure Champions League football.
The French winger was part of the Blues academy for seven years between 2009 and 2016, before moving to Manchester City and then Reading, eventually joining Crystal Palace in 2021.
Thierry Henry named Olise and his Crystal Palace teammate Jean-Philippe Mateta in the France squad for this summer’s Olympic Games, which mainly features players under the age of 23.

The Olympic football tournament runs from July 24 to August 9, with the Gold Medal match scheduled a week before the possible start of the next Premier League campaign on August 16.
Chelsea finished in sixth place last season and will play in the Europa Conference League during the 2024/2025 season.
