Chelsea have announced the signing of England Women’s star Lucy Bronze on a two-year contract.
Bronze signed for the West London club on a free transfer after her contract with Barcelona expired at the end of last month.
On joining the Blues, she said: ‘It still feels a bit surreal knowing that I’m a Chelsea player. Obviously it’s a club that I know so much about and have been involved with for so long.
‘I’m really excited to be back in England. My family are also really excited to come to more of my games.
‘I’m excited to be in London, to see what the capital has to offer and to play for a club that is known for winning so many trophies.’
Bronze is arguably one of British football’s greatest exports, having won the Champions League five times and the Women’s Super League three times during her career.
