He was the subject of a strong offer from Premier League struggler Everton on deadline day but opted to stay in London and fight for his place.

Game time may have gotten even tougher though, as Chelsea owner Todd Boehly spent more than £300m on new recruits in the January transfer window.

Gallagher did, although he did play 90 minutes in Chelsea’s draw against Fulham on Friday.

According SunGallagher is expected to be rewarded for his loyalty to the club with a handsome raise.

Gallagher is believed to currently earn £50,000 a week at Chelsea, and that could double with a new deal.

It is currently tied up to 2025, with an extension also expected.

The 22-year-old rose to fame last season when he impressed on loan at Crystal Palace, scoring eight goals in 39 appearances and playing a vital role as the team finished 12th in the Premier League.

He also went to the World Cup with England at the end of last year, but was unable to make an appearance.

Palace are believed to be interested in his signing on a permanent basis, and Newcastle are also sniffing around for his services.

The player now faces a big decision on whether to extend his stay at Chelsea and fight for his place or enjoy more minutes at a club far from Stamford Bridge.
