It has been confirmed that Christopher Vivell will join Chelsea as their new technical director, just hours after it was announced that he had resigned from the same position at RB Leipzig.
Leipzig confirmed on Twitter Friday morning that Vivell “was fired from his role as technical director on Thursday due to a difference of opposing views”.
And The Matte Law of the Telegraph has now revealed he will take on the same role at Stamford Bridge after meeting the club again this week.

News of Vivell’s supposedly imminent arrival follows reports that Christopher Nkunku agrees to a pre-contract change to join the Blues after undergoing a secret medical exam.
Petr Cech retired after three years in the summer when it was confirmed that the Blues would be getting a new owner.
The owner of Todd Boehly-Clearlake Capital will be happy to finally find the right man to replace him, as he has already seen steps for Michael Edwards and Christoph Freund fail.
The club is still looking for a sporting director and it is believed Freund was also a candidate for the role before deciding to stay with RB Salzburg.
The Blues are looking to replace Petr Cech (left) and appear to have their man in Vivell (right).
The addition of Vivell comes at the end of a week in which it was revealed that another Leipzig employee has signed a pre-contract agreement with Chelsea.
Christopher Nkunku is said to have signed a pre-contract agreement with Chelsea after having a undisclosed medical examination with the Blues last month.
Boehly and Clearlake want to follow the Red Bull multi-club model and this move for Vivell would support that ambition.
The German, along with Freund, helped exhume Manchester City star Erling Haaland.
