Cheerleader is EJECTED from a college basketball game after confronting and shoving an opposing player in an on-court altercation after he appeared to get in the way of her stunt routine during Alabama A&M’s dramatic last-second win over MVSU

A cheerleader was ejected from a college basketball game between Mississippi Valley State and Alabama A&M after getting into an altercation with a player.

Mississippi Valley State had just made two free throws to tie the score 63-63 with just over three minutes remaining in conference play.

However, on the tackle pass, Alabama A&M’s Dailin Smith appeared to get too close to a Mississippi Valley State cheerleader while attempting a baseline trick.

As he jumped to a front hurdler, Smith appeared to make contact with his rear leg. She immediately looked back to see who had hit her and she didn’t forget.

Mississippi Valley State brought the ball back onto the court, and play was stopped after the umpire blew his whistle.

The cheerleader took the opportunity to go out onto the field and confront the player. She appeared to nudge her shoulder slightly to get her attention and said something, though it’s unclear what was said or how long the interaction lasted as the footage cut out.

The commentators announcing the game began discussing the incident, while a woman in the background can be heard yelling for security.

“The coach at Alabama A&M, he’s complaining and cursing,” said Caleb Brunson, a member of the broadcast.

Meanwhile, Andre Williams, the other member of the broadcast team, added that the Mississippi Valley coach was “losing his mind.”

After a brief pause, Brunson revealed that “they’re going to take one of the cheerleaders out of the game.”

Seven security personnel then walked across the court to the Mississippi Valley State cheer section.

One wrapped his arm around her shoulder and seemed to tell her she had to go before turning to the bench to grab her jacket.

But the drama of the game did not end there. The game went down to the wire with Alabama State needing a bell hit to win 70-68.

When the game was stopped, the cheerleader made her way onto the court to confront Smith.

Junior point guard Messiah Thompson dribbled at the top of the key with five seconds remaining, before dribbling to the right and drilling a last-second shot as he walked away from the basket.

With the win, Alabama A&M improved to 10-15 with a 6-6 record in the Southwestern Athletic Conference.

Meanwhile, Mississippi Valley State fell to 3-23, with a 2-10 conference record, and missed out on an upset less than a month into the conference tournament.
