Cheerful Melania Trump bops to YMCA at Mar-a-Lago NYE bash
Melania Trump danced and jumped away at the YMCA as she rang in the new year with her husband’s favorite song at Mar-a-Lago.
The incoming First Lady performed the Village People gay song on Tuesday evening with a big smile on her face.
Her husband reveled in the moment as he delighted onlookers with his signature dance moves, which became a fixture at Trump’s rallies on his way back to the White House throughout the year.
Melania was less subtle in her movements, but was seen in images circulating on social media belting out the chorus.
Fans were quick to praise the First Lady’s efforts, with one
“Trump has infected the entire country, including his family and Elon Musk, with his dance moves. Everyone does it.’
“I love Melania doping her own move to YMCA,” said another. “And how some people can’t laugh when Trump does his dance is beyond me.”
It came as Trump hosted the annual New Year’s event at his club in Palm Beach, Florida, which was littered with political heavyweights and Trump world insiders including Elon Musk, JD Vance, Donald Trump Jr. and his new girlfriend Bettina Anderson.

Melania also received plenty of praise for her elegant look at the New Year’s gala, wearing a plunging black dress with a thigh-high slit.
Donald, 78, wore a sleek black tuxedo for the role, complete with a bow tie, which also had some fans excited about his slimmed-down look.
Some raved about how “great” he looked, while one wrote: “President Trump looks healthier than he did during his first administration. He looks great.’
‘He doesn’t use that fake orange tanner anymore. He looks so much better and healthier without it,” another commented.
Another agreed, saying: ‘First thing I noticed. He looks fit and ready to get this country back in shape.”
The event also featured a surprise performance by Lara Trump, the former co-chair of the RNC and wife of the president-elect’s son Eric Trump, who sang a cover of Tom Petty’s “I Won’t Back Down.”
Those in attendance couldn’t take their eyes off Lara as she sang the classic rock tune, with Musk spotting his son X on his shoulders as he watched and listened intently to Lara.
While walking the red carpet as he arrived at Mar-A-Lago with Melania, the president-elect was asked what he was looking forward to in the coming year.
“Just a great year, I think we will do great as a country,” he predicted.

‘We’ll bring it back. It must be brought back. People don’t respect our country very much, and they will respect us very much.’
He then spoke about the hard work that has gone into the transition, with the inauguration just weeks away.
‘I think a lot of progress has been made in the last five weeks. “It was pretty amazing when you look at what happened,” he said.
Donald added that he believes the entire planet has been lifted up after his victory over Kamala Harris.
‘There is a light burning all over the world, not just our country. There are a lot of happy people,” he said.
When asked what, apart from the elections, his highlight of 2024 was, he revealed that it was “the fact that we will have a great nation again.”
“We’re going to bring it back better than it ever was,” he concluded.
He was also asked about his New Year’s resolutions, but he politely deferred, saying, “I just want everyone to be happy, healthy and well.”
