Several confused PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 users say they have been “permanently suspended” from their accounts and games.
One user wrote on Reddit: “My account was permanently suspended for no reason?”, while another added: “There is no reason for this.” Sony better fix this.
Sony hasn't publicly acknowledged the issue yet – but here's what to do if you're affected.

One user wrote on Reddit: “My account was permanently suspended for no reason?”, while another added: “There is no reason for this.” Sony better fix this.”
According to Sony's help page, accounts can be permanently suspended for a number of reasons.
“If PlayStation Safety determines that you have uploaded or shared content that violates our Community Code of Conduct, your account may be temporarily or permanently suspended depending on the severity of the violation.”
“Your account can be suspended for sharing explicit, hateful, or graphic content in the form of text, audio, photos, or videos.”
However, many users claim that their accounts have been suspended, despite not violating any of these rules.
“I got a permanent suspension. No email. No appeal,” one user wrote on Reddit.

Another added: “I was permanently suspended while playing Ark.
There is no reason for that. Sony better fix this. I'm in the US, and I was playing on my PS5.
“Without any notice, PlayStation has permanently banned me from PlayStation Network,” one user tweeted.
One user vented: “We just got home from dinner and my kids started playing Fortnight… Temporary residence permit blocked… Kids are panicking…”
Another added: “I've been permanently suspended while playing Ark. There's no reason for that.” Sony better fix this. I'm in the US, and I was playing on my PS5.

'I'm glad we're not alone, but this stinks!!! I think it's a mistake, and I just hope it gets resolved.
Many users reported similar issues on X (formerly Twitter).
“Without any notice, PlayStation has permanently banned me from PlayStation Network,” one user tweeted.
'No one knows why! I have no refunds, no appeal and no response to suspension. CS is asking to create a new account and disconnect from me.'
Another responded with the same predicament, replying: “Same here.” a lot of people.
“I did nothing and now I can't use my PS5.” This better be fixed quickly.
Sony has yet to comment on the issue, although MailOnline has contacted the press team for comment.
