Southampton striker Che Adams signs a three-year contract with Torino.

The Serie A club confirmed the transfer window on Tuesday morning, with Adams leaving St Mary’s after five years on the south coast.

In 2019 he joined Southampton from Birmingham and scored 48 goals in 191 games.

His best scoring run came last season, when he scored 15 goals in the Championship to secure Southampton a place in the play-offs.

Russell Martin’s side beat Leeds at Wembley to secure promotion to the Premier League, but Adams has opted for a new challenge rather than continue playing in the English top division.

Adams played in all three of Scotland’s matches at Euro 2024 but will join up with his Torino team-mates straight away following his country’s early elimination from the tournament.

Torino finished ninth in Serie A last season and will be hoping to secure European football this season.

Meanwhile, Southampton are still busy in the transfer market and have shown interest in Crystal Palace winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi.

The 21-year-old winger has made just six Premier League appearances at Selhurst Park in the 2023-24 season and the Saints are keen to sign him for their upcoming campaign.

Palace have already rejected two offers from Southampton for Rak-Sakyi, but the newly promoted club have not given up hope of getting a deal done.
