Charlotte’s SW19 Debut Leaves Them All In The Shadows!

Princess Charlotte stole the show in pink sunglasses in her first-ever appearance at Wimbledon yesterday – but her younger brother Louis was “very upset” about staying home.

She enjoyed the final between Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic, marveling at winning shots and grinning at misses, alongside her eldest brother George.

But Louis, the youngest member of the family, was unhappy that he couldn’t join them despite practicing as a ball boy this year.

Arriving at SW19 with her husband and two children, the Princess of Wales told Ella Ottaway, who heads the youth program at the All England Club: ‘It’s Charlotte’s first time, George came last year. They watched with excitement.

“Charlotte, you’ve mastered scoring. Louis was very upset that he wouldn’t come today.’ After their conversation, 16-year-old ballboy Joel revealed that Louis is “trying to practice standing and being serious like us.”

He added: “He’s trying to practice the stands and how we’re at the back of the pitch and next to the players.”

But while Louis, five, had to watch from home, George and Charlotte licked every minute on Center Court.

The audience applauded the youngsters as they sat down between their parents in the Royal Box.

At one point, George, nine, was seen putting his head in his hands after a near miss. Dressed in a blue suit and tie, the heir to the throne often leaned over to discuss parts of the match with his father beside him.

Charlotte, eight, wearing a blue dress, was also animated – at one point she bit her lower lip in frustration at a miss and sank into her seat, seemingly unable to bear parts of it.

The pair cheered with their fists in the air as Alcaraz, 20, claimed a 3-2 win in a match that seemed impossible.

Earlier in the day, Princess Charlotte beamed as she marveled at a well-fought point. Meanwhile, Prince George looked both delighted and upset as he watched the action on Center Court.

Previously, she had seen Charlotte meet police dog Stella and pet the springer spaniel, who will retire next year when she turns nine.

The princess also chatted with Mu’awwiz Anwar, eight, who performed the coin toss on Center Court.

Charlotte and her brother received a gift bag containing Mrs. Ottaway’s tennis book Blade And Bounce.
