Charlie Chaplin’s granddaughter Laura rides down the aisle on her HORSE at her second wedding to lawyer Etienne Monnier in Spain
Charlie Chaplin’s granddaughter Laura has made it clear she’s just as much of a show character as her iconic grandfather.
Earlier this month, the artist, 36, was escorted down the aisle not by her father, Chaplin’s son Eugene, but by her horse, as she married lawyer Etienne Monnier in Spain, having previously exchanged vows in Switzerland.
Her sister, Kiera, 40, a model and producer, shared a slew of incredible videos from the day in a montage – including an image of Laura arriving on the horse – while also revealing that their brother Spencer had the music for the day executed.
In the caption, she wrote, “My sister @laura_chaplinart got married this weekend to the best brother-in-law you could wish for @etiennemonnier…
In true Laura fashion, she had all her friends, family who had flown in from all over the world that we hadn’t seen in far too long, and, of course, all her pets: three dogs and two horses. After driving around the island we had a great dinner. . .
Wow! Charlie Chaplin’s granddaughter Laura has made it clear she’s just as much of a show character as her iconic grandfather after arriving on horseback at her second wedding
Blast: Laura looked sensational when she tied the knot
‘Followed by music from @spencerchaplin1 of course, first dance with dad and improvised song from mom. At the end, the last survivors of the party were all thrown into the pool. Cheers again to both of you!!! Love you’
At her Swiss wedding in May, Laura wore striking purple suede boots.
Laura never met her grandfather, who died ten years before she was born, but says she always felt close to him.
“I inherited his artistic and creative genes, and his perfectionism,” she explained. “He also taught me the importance of laughing. I’ve seen how it affects people and like him, I feel the need to make people laugh.”
Laura has long honored her grandfather through her work painting pictures of the film legend – which can bring in up to £10,000 at a time.
