Charli XCX cuts a casual figure in faux-fur jacket and baggy jeans as she steps out in NYC after hosting Saturday Night Live

Charli XCX cut a nonchalant figure as she stepped out in New York City on Tuesday, fresh from hosting Saturday Night Live.

The singer, 32, dressed in a brown jacket with a blue faux fur lining, which she wore with light-wash baggy jeans.

The Brat hitmaker also wore a pair of brown boots and a light blue top as she enjoyed her trip to the Big Apple.

Charli let her brunette locks fall loose over her shoulders and completed her look with sunglasses.

Charli pretended to be Adele in a humorous skit as she took on dual roles as host and musical guest on the latest episode of SNL.

The Boom Clap singer – who was recently nominated for seven Grammy Awards – thrilled fans as they applauded the British-born star’s comedic skills as she appeared in several skits.

Charli – whose full name is Charlotte Emma Aitchison – got the chance to step into the shoes of the Someone Like You hitmaker during a Wicked audition skit.

SNL comedians portrayed a number of different celebrities who auditioned for a role in the musical adaptation in “never-before-seen screen tests.”

At one point, Charli stepped in front of the camera in a black velvet dress – similar to an ensemble Adele has worn during her Las Vegas residency.

A voiceover could be heard saying, “Okay, testing for Elphaba, Adele.”

‘Adele’ then asked while holding a microphone: ‘Hi, can I take off my shoes?’ before you say, “Okay, bad. Oh my God, I said the name of the damn movie! Shut up, that’s fucking funny.”

The screen test ended suddenly before other celebrity screen tests were shown.

Charli XCX and Troye Sivan also auditioned in the sketch, with Bowen Yang playing Charli and British singer Sivan.

Yang wore a long black wig and a black dress and sunglasses, while the singer simply wore a white tank top and blue pants.

‘Can I call you Elfie?’ Bowen asked Charli, who simply replied in a monotone voice, “No.”

Yang then continued, “I only bullied you because I’m a b***h and you’re a witch. I’m confused,” while Charli says, “I’m not a witch. I’m a top.’

Other celebrities who auditioned for the sketch included author Fran Lebowitz who said, “Pretend it’s an emerald city. It’s an emerald green city, but it’s a yellow brick road. Say, ding dong, the witch is dead. What are you, a doorbell?’

Sydney Sweeney – played by Chloe Fineman – said with a laugh: “Hi, are you a magician or something?”

Charli XCX also received applause for her opening monologue that kicked off the episode during the sketch comedy’s 50th season.

The singer took to the stage in a figure-hugging, glittering silver and black dress.

She was greeted by cheers from the live audience and the beauty sent her gratitude to the crowd.

Charli then joked, “If you recognize me, you might know me from my album Brat.” But don’t worry if you don’t, there’s nothing wrong with being honest.’

The star recalled how she started her music career and how she convinced her parents to take her to a rave at the age of 15 so she could perform.

“And if you’re wondering, how did I get my parents to take me to a rave? Well, I just told them, ‘Guys, I have swimming practice. At 2am in a warehouse full of gays.’

“No, seriously, I’ve come a long way. And today I consider myself a triple threat. Which in England means I sing, drink and smoke,” she joked.
