Charlamagne tha God clashes with Lara Trump after cracking up at her wild claim about Donald: ‘Why is that funny?’

Radio host Charlamagne Tha God laughed at Lara Trump after he asked whether father-in-law Donald was a racist.

The radio host, real name Lenard McKelvey, had the RNC co-chair of his popular The Breakfast Club show Monday, weeks after co-hosting a town hall with Kamala Harris.

Co-host DJ Envy asked Trump to respond to the idea that people think Donald Trump is “racist,” citing lawsuits filed against him for not renting to black people and his treatment of the Central Park Five.

‘That’s ridiculous. I’ve known this man for sixteen years. There was never any evidence of anything happening to the houses; they arranged that. Nothing was allowed there,” Trump said.

However, Charlamagne couldn’t hold back his laughter any longer after Lara said: “Donald Trump was really helpful to the black community when he was in the White House. I will say I have never seen this man say anything racist.”

Lara, annoyed by the interruption, asked, “Why is that funny, Charlamagne?”

“It’s hysterical,” he replied. “People act as if there is no such thing as Google or that they don’t have a TV or radio.”

She then asked Charlamagne to bring up racist things the former president had said in the past.

“This is a man who was loved by so many people in this country, and he was friends with everyone. Jesse Jackson by the way… [Trump] let them stay rent-free in one of his buildings – the Rainbow Coalition – because he thought that was very important at the time.”

She then responded to Charlamagne’s complaints about the way Trump speaks about immigrants by saying that her father-in-law is only against illegal immigration.

“If you’re an American citizen, Donald Trump doesn’t care [about] your religion. He doesn’t care what you look like,” she said.

While hosting Harris for a town hall, Charlamagne has also criticized the ticket, including their choice of Tim Walz as their running mate.

The Breakfast Club radio host summed it up: “I don’t think he’s trash,” after first citing a provocative line from Jay-Z when considering whether Walz was the right choice for a potential vice president over other choices like Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro.

Charlamagne sarcastically wondered if the Minnesota governor is the best “white guy who turns other white people on,” but admitted he didn’t see Walz’s “impact.”

Charlamagne paraphrased the Jay-Z hit “Takeover” and asked, “What did Jay-Z say?” “He had a spark when he started, but now he’s just trash?”

“I don’t think he’s trash, you know what I mean? But it’s like I don’t see the impact.’

In their one-on-one, Charlamagne discussed marijuana legalization, reparations for Black people, and U.S. foreign policy spending.
