A car crashed into a Walmart in Detroit, injuring many shoppers, including a baby who was saved by a woman who found the child in a cart.
At least five people were injured after one SUVspureed in the supermarket on Ford Road in Canton on Friday around 1:30 p.m., according to Canton Public Safety.
One of the victims was a baby who was left to fend for himself in a shopping cart when chaos broke out WDIV.
The parking lot outside was full of people who had fled the supermarket, some of them describing the crash as an “explosion.”
A heroic woman ran to the crash site and into Walmart, where she was able to save a baby caught in the crash.

“She was in a cart with another lady and I asked if it was her baby and she said no,” Lisa Iller said.
The Good Samaritan said the lady fled the scene saying it wasn’t her baby, so Iller rescued the baby from the cart and screamed for help.
According to Iller, the girl was making “little noises” and was “really hurt” – adding that she feared the child might not make it.
Iller desperately searched through the rubble for the child’s parent and said she thought her mother might be trapped under the planks.
The hero was especially desperate to save the baby as a grandmother of two herself. Iller has an 11-month-old and an 8-year-old who were in daycare at the time, but she says it could have been them.
Emergency services immediately responded to the incident and the injured, including the driver, were rushed to hospital, but their condition is currently unknown.
Canton Police Chief Chad Baugh says he believes the driver may have suffered a medical emergency that caused him to plow 40 feet into the superstore.
