Pro-Palestinian activists have blocked a main entrance to the Melbourne Cup at Flemington Racecourse.
Footage posted on X, formally Twitter, on Tuesday shows protesters being surrounded by police on Racecourse Road, in Flemington, west of Melbourne.

Another can be seen being dragged away by police as a crowd gathers.
You see how the police desperately try to clear the road so that traffic can flow through.
The group also sat on the road.
It has been reported that around 50 people are at the protest.
Victoria Police has been contacted for comment.
