Channel Ten hints a new season of The Bachelor is in the works
Is The Bachelor coming back? Channel Ten is on the hunt for ‘eligible men over 40’ after ‘their chance at love’
Channel Ten may be planning to film a new season of The Bachelor, after the rebranded ‘The Bachelors’ received shock ratings last year.
Warner Bros. has sparked rumors of a return as they kick off the casting process for ‘Australia’s most eligible, outgoing and single men over 40’.
“If you’re over 40 and looking for that one, comment below — or tag someone you think deserves a chance at love,” reads the tantalizing caption on the Warner Bros. casting page.
While there’s been no official confirmation that the casting call is tied to The Bachelor, the timing among the show’s fans is abuzz with speculation.
According to TV expert Rob McKnight, Ten has put out a call for a crew to work on a “recurring large-scale reality dating show.”

The ex-Ten executive said the network advertises production assistants.
‘[We were] was sent a screenshot of an ad seeking crew for a “recurring large-scale reality dating show.” At the bottom of the pole are two red roses on either side,” he said in an article published on TV black box website.
Rob mused it could be a spin-off of The Bachelor or just a “misdirection” from the struggling network.
Ten would be looking for associate producers in Sydney to start in late April through June.
The Bachelor has struggled to gain audiences in recent years, including in the final season of the remade The Bachelors.

The show launched in January and drew just 309,000 viewers on the subway, 18,000 fewer than the low-rated new look The Project, which aired immediately beforehand.
The Bachelors failed to retain viewership even with three leading men – Jed McIntosh, Felix Von Hofe and Thomas Malucelli
The series finale had an audience of just 358,000 viewers in five cities, making it the least watched finale in Bachelor history.
That result represents a steep 38.6 percent drop from the last Bachelor finale, which aired in 2021.
It also marked the end of a devastating viewing season for the controversial dating series, which averaged just 291,000 viewers per episode.
In its 2018 heyday, The Bachelor would draw nearly a million subway viewers per episode to major headlines.
