NRL and State of Origin star Matt Ballin has tied the knot with stunning Channel Seven sportscaster Alissa Smith.

The couple, who have been together for more than five years, said “I do” on October 19 at Matt’s family property in Kingaroy, Queensland.

Photos from the ceremony showed the beautiful seven-star Alissa in an elegant white dress as she locked lips with the dapper groom on the driveway to the ‘DaisyBank’ estate.

On Tuesday, Matt revealed exactly how he felt when he first saw Alissa in the Fox Sports studio in 2019.

“When I saw her I thought, ‘She’s the most beautiful woman in the world,’” the 40-year-old retired NRL hooker told the Courier mail.

Matt was in the studio to serve as a pundit for the television program NRL Tonight, while Alissa was a reporter for the network.

The star-studded ceremony was attended by a host of Matt’s rugby peers, including Titans coach Des Hasler and teammates Paul Stephenson, Glenn Hall, Steve Menzies, Mark Bryant and Jake Trbojevic.

The Queensland-born athlete cut a dashing figure in a custom-made designer tuxedo as he married his beautiful partner in an exquisite outdoor ceremony.

Meanwhile, Alissa looked absolutely radiant in a traditional white wedding dress, purchased from a chic bridal boutique in Sydney.

Alissa added that there were so many standout moments during the loved-up ceremony that she couldn’t choose which was her favorite.

‘Being surrounded by our loved ones. The ceremony. I saw Matt at the end of the aisle looking ridiculously handsome in his tuxedo,” she said.

“The cattle come to the marquee to say hello and join in the festivities. Our first dance to a song that means so much to us: Simply the Best by Tina Turner.’

The ceremony was full of heartwarming moments, including when Alissa’s beloved uncle walked her down the aisle.
