Channel Seven newsreader Angela Cox wipes out as she shows off her surfing skills at Sydney’s Bondi Beach
Angela Cox enjoyed the summer weather on Sunday.
The Channel Seven star went surfing at Sydney’s Bondi Beach and had a rough time.
The television journalist put on a light pink and black wetsuit and jumped on her blue board.
She tackled small waves as they rolled in, first finding her footing and trying to give it a try.
Unfortunately, on a subsequent attempt, she was wiped out and fell off the board into the water.
Angela looked sporty for her outing in figure-hugging surf wear and went make-up free for her surf session.

Channel Seven signed Angela up to co-anchor the 7News bulletin alongside her old presenter during a huge hosting shake-up last year.
She joined veteran broadcaster Mark Ferguson for the channel’s 6pm weekday news bulletin.
The presenter, who has been working with Seven for about 25 years, made her prime time TV debut on 7News in September alongside the 58-year-old Ferguson.
Ferguson has presented the 7News Sydney bulletin for a decade and will now co-anchor the program with Cox in a huge shake-up.
It was the first time Ferguson had ever worked with a co-presenter, as the veteran star had long been known for running the bulletin on his own.
The hosting change comes amid a series of media job cuts at Channel Seven as the network looks to cut costs amid a tough advertising environment.
The network recently shocked fans by suddenly axing longtime host Sharyn Ghidella, while Robert Ovadia, Andrew Frampton and Cameron Baud have also left.
This is not the first time Cox has appeared on 7News.

Her solo debut had sparked rumors that Seven’s new bosses were looking to replace long-time presenter Ferguson, but their co-anchoring debut put cold water on the speculation.
Insiders had previously told how Seven bosses were impressed with Cox when she temporarily took over the program from Ferguson.
‘Everyone thought it would be Angela and Michael together. But people are really impressed with Ange on her own; she is a bit of a dark horse,” one person claimed.
‘Angela is getting incredibly strong ratings in focus groups, so the bosses at all the networks will be watching closely and doing their own research.’
Cox officially confirmed her new role when 7News took to Instagram last year to share an official photo of herself and Mark, along with a gushing caption.
She wrote: ‘Breaking news just in…. I’m excited to let you know @mark_fergo and I’ll be sharing the desk in an exciting new era for @7newssyd.
“Fergo has won so many loyal viewers with his warmth, integrity and humility, leading our team at the Bar for more than a decade. I am honored that I will now be sitting next to him as we continue to strive to be Sydney’s best news service.

“We have an incredible team of award-winning reporters, producers and production staff who work every day to deliver first-class coverage of the news that matters most to our viewers.
“The way Australians consume news is evolving, and so are we. Thank you to all our viewers who have been so kind and supportive while I’ve been flying solo over the past few weeks.
‘I hope you will watch when Fergo and I start next Sunday. Let’s do this.’
Ferguson said he was ‘really looking forward’ to working with Cox and described it as a ‘fresh start’ for him as he had never had a co-presenter on the bulletin before.
“Ange will add so many extras to the bulletin every night; more experience, more energy and it will allow us to be much more versatile when those big stories break,” he said.
‘In some ways it’s a new start for me, I’ve never really co-presented before, so I’m hoping Ange can teach this older dog some new tricks.
‘She is a talented journalist, a great presenter and an even greater human being.’
Cox is not new to Seven as she is best known for co-hosting the 6pm 7News bulletin alongside Michael Usher at weekends, a role she has held since 2014.

Cox is not new to Seven as she is best known for co-hosting the 6pm 7News bulletin alongside Michael Usher at weekends, a role she has held since 2014.
She has also worked as a US correspondent for Seven, helmed the nightly news program The Latest and had a role in the former current affairs show Sunday Night.
During her 25 years at the network, Cox has covered some of the world’s biggest events, including the wedding of the Prince and Princess of Wales and the Olympic Games.
While working in the United States, she also covered five Academy Awards shows, as well as the Golden Globes, Grammys and Emmys before deciding to move back to Australia.
Cox has had a passion for reporting since she was a child, studying journalism in Queensland in the hope of working in fashion magazines.
However, she then met a contact who worked in television and persuaded them to give her work experience, starting her long-cherished career on screen.
She spent three months gaining work experience during the week and working a part-time job at weekends to make ends meet before joining Seven.
“The very best journalism is about sharing people’s stories and getting people to trust you so you can share their stories – it’s not about ego,” she said of her career.
