Channel Seven has announced Samantha Armytage’s replacement in Farmer Wants A Wife following her shock departure.
The TV star, 48, has moved to Nine to host the network’s Aussie Bachelor spin-off series The Golden Bachelor after leaving Seven in August.
Natalie Gruzlewski returns to the show after being replaced by Samantha in 2022.
On Wednesday, Seven’s Chief Content Officer Brook Hall spoke about the ‘authentic’ new season of the dating show following Sam’s departure.
“We still keep them in that way of really pure and trying to keep it authentic,” she said at Seven’s 2025 Upfronts according to TV tonightT.
‘I’m still amazed at every first meeting, where usually two out of five farmers have difficulty talking to the women when they come in.’
“We are filming this week, final decisions and a few farmers are very happy where they are. So I think we’ll have more of those success stories again.”

Her new TV appearance on The Golden Bachelor was finally revealed on Nine’s Upfronts, where the network’s 2025 schedule of programming was revealed to invited guests.
“I think you’ll all love this. It’s love for the golden age,” Samantha said in the video interview with 9Entertainment.
‘When I was called to participate in the show, I didn’t hesitate for a moment. [The Golden Bachelor] has been huge in America, and I have a feeling it will be huge in Australia too.”
“We’re thrilled to welcome Samantha Armytage to Nine as the new host for our quest for love, the Golden Bachelor, where everyone deserves a second chance at love,” added Nine’s Chief Marketing Officer Liana Dubois.
Warner Bros Australia first sparked speculation about a local version of the show in November 2023 when they dropped a trap for “fun, active and outgoing male seniors aged 60 or over who are divorced/widowed” to take part in a new dating series. .
