Channel Seven announces new Dancing With the Stars air date as Laura Byrne and Home and Away’s Emily Weir lead the cast
Channel Seven has announced the launch date of the new season of Dancing With the Stars.
The new series will premiere on the network on Sunday, June 18.
Home and Away’s Emily Weir, former MasterChef judge Matt Preston and former Bachelor star Laura Byrne lead the celebs who will compete for the glittering mirrorball trophy this year.
The cast also includes Olympic champions Sally Pearson and James Magnussen and Better and Homes and Gardens star Charlie Albone.
Muriel’s Wedding The Musical star Christie Whelan-Browne, comedian Mary Coustas and Wentworth actress Pia Miranda are also hitting the dance floor this season.

The cast is completed by actress Virginnia Gay, from the classic soap opera All Saints and singer Paulini and Phil Burton from Human Nature.
Daryl Somers and Sonia Kruger will once again host the toe-tapping action.
Meanwhile, the celebrities will have their dance floor skills judged by a panel of judges, including former drag queen star Craig Revel Horwood.

Known as a judge on the BBC reality series Strictly Come Dancing, Australian-born Horwood, 58, has appeared as a judge on the Australian version DWTS since 2019.
Judges Sharna Burgess and Todd McKenney will also be back this season.
Host Sonia Kruger, meanwhile, teased new changes to the DWTS format during an interview with The Morning Show’s Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies.

It comes after recent rumors that Sonia may be ready to join the cast of the Real Housewives of Sydney.
The blonde beauty is said to have caught the attention of Bravo boss Andy Cohen when he was in Australia for WorldPride.
Cohen is the executive producer of all ten Real Housewives franchises, while the Australian version is produced by Matchbox Entertainment and airs on Foxtel.
