Warne once described his passionate romance with the model and actress as “the happiest time of his life.”

He started dating Liz in 2010, five years after divorcing his first wife, Simone Callahan.

Shane proposed to the British bombshell in 2011, but the couple split in 2013 before reaching the altar.

Known as Test cricket’s top wicket taker, the drama will depict the great sportsmen’s exploits on the field, as well as his tumultuous love life.

No details have emerged as to whether the show will be about Warne’s multiple “sexting” scandals or reports on the sports hero’s bedroom antics.

Warne made headlines in 2006 after photos emerged of a ‘threesome’ in the bedroom, showing the cricketer enjoying sex with models in a London hotel room.

In addition to his highly publicized love life, the series aims to reenact the highlights of Warne’s career.

But most of the new trailer is devoted to scenes from Warne’s time off the field, including his marriage to Simone, whom he cheated on.

In one scene, an anguished Shane tells Simone (played by actress Marny Kennedy), “There’s another girl.”

Other scenes show his unashamed love of the high life, including driving expensive sports cars and gambling.

Based on the full trailer, Shane’s kids, Jackson, Brooke, and Summer don’t seem to feature prominently in the dramatization.

Other stars of the series include Wentworth’s Jacqueline Brennan, who plays Warne’s mother Brigitte, and Tom Stokes, who plays cricket great Steve Waugh.

Shane died of a suspected heart attack just over a year ago in March 2022 while on holiday in Thailand.
