A Channel Nine TV reporter has called out a ‘crazy’ parking sign that is almost impossible to read as his car – and many others – are towed away in the confusion.
Eddy Meyer, a senior reporter in the network’s Sydney newsroom, blasted the City of Sydney Council for a parking sign on York Street with no fewer than seven different instructions for drivers.
The sign marked the section of the street as a four-hour parking zone, loading zone, bus zone, exclusion zone and special events road.
“Are you serious about this sign?” Meyer exploded after he returned Sunday and saw his car was gone.

Meyer criticized how the road was marked as open for ‘2pm – 9pm’ on the Saturday, Sunday and Monday of the long weekend.
But it appeared his car had been towed, as that meant the highway actually lasted from 2pm on Saturday to 9pm on Monday – rather than every single day.
“Does that even make sense?” he smoked. “So many others have been dragged.”
He added that the machine still gave him a parking ticket, despite it apparently being a free pass.
The sign was labeled “crazy” on talkback radio Tuesday morning.
Daily Mail Australia has contacted the City of Sydney for comment.
Meyer had his car towed after being confused by the many restrictions on the sign
