Channel Nine star Clint Stanaway reveals his shock new career change
Channel Nine’s Weekend Today presenter Clint Stanaway, 41, has been announced as newsreader for Nova 100’s new breakfast teamJase Hawkins and Lauren Phillips.
To celebrate the show’s debut on Friday, the trio joined Married at First Sight relationship expert John Aitken for a cheeky video to announce the famous reality series.
The short clip started off as if it were a ‘commitment’ segment of MAFS, with Aitkens asking Jase and Lauren about their ‘relationship’.
“We can’t put our finger on it, but something isn’t right,” 42-year-old Jase replied.
Lauren, 41, sitting on the couch next to Jase, played along with the joke telling the MAFS coach, “There’s definitely something that makes me feel a little hollow… like something’s missing.”

Aitkens then suggested that the pair ‘spice things up’ by adding a ‘third’.
The camera then filmed Clint sitting on the other side of the couch.
Lauren was then seen moving to hug Stan, while an unhappy-looking Jase exclaimed, “Well, I didn’t know this was going to happen… so this is how it’s going to be.”

Jase and Lauren’s KIIS FM breakfast show was replaced by KIIS FM stars Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson during their historic $200 million 10-year radio expansion into Melbourne.
The pair, together with Clint, will compete against their old colleagues during breakfast on Nova FM from March 8.
Nova 100’s current breakfast team, Ben, Liam & Belle, will host a brand new national show Late Drive, airing weekdays from 6pm to 8pm.

Jase and Lauren taped their final KIIS FM show on December 1, while ARN released a statement earlier this year revealing that Byron Cooke will remain on KIIS 101.1 all summer before Kyle and Jackie O head south.
In November, Sydney-based radio duo Kyle and Jackie ‘O’ signed a record-breaking 10-year, $200 million deal that will keep them on air until 2034.
An ARN spokesperson confirmed to Ny Breaking Australia that the deal for the Sydney duo meant their work friends Jase Hawkins and Lauren Phillips were unemployed and their Melbourne breakfast show ended in December.
