Danika Mason confessed to a bizarre incident at the dentist after she was stitched up by Andrew Johns live on air.
The 33-year-old Channel 9 star was gaslit by football legend Johns on Tuesday when he shared photos of her emergency dental treatment and compared her to Jim Carey’s iconic Lloyd Christmas character in the film Dumb and Dumber.
Johns, who laid the groundwork for the embarrassing photos to be released, said: ‘It’s not the only injury news. There’s another serious injury today.
“We have Lloyd Christmas from Dumb and Dumber. Can we take a look at someone’s broken tooth today?”
When asked how she damaged her front tooth, Mason gave a surprising answer.
“A bag of chips, a bag of corn chips, open it with my mouth,” she said.
A stunned Johns said, “Wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute. Opening a bag of chips. What happened?”
“I used my hands and it wouldn’t open,” she explained. “So then I used my mouth and my tooth flew off in the car and so I had to go to the emergency dentist today.
‘Luckily I had a good dentist who was able to help me at 11:00 am.’

Johns then felt the need to make a public announcement.
“Children at home don’t listen to Aunt Danika. Use your hands,” he said. “Don’t be impatient.”
Channel 9 presenter James Bracey also joined in and showed off his pearly whites.
“Kids at home are looking at James Bracey’s teeth,” Johns said. “Ten elephants had to die for that.”
Bracey said, “Lloyd Christmas’s long lost sister. That’s good stuff.
“Well done. Glad you’re doing well. Good luck with whatever they do next.”
Mason recently went public with his new football boyfriend Liam Knight.
The couple went public with their romance after months of speculation, with the footballer sharing a photo of himself with Danika on his page.
“My life is beautiful,” he wrote in the caption, alongside the smitten photo of the couple hugging.
Danika, 33, dumped her ex Todd Liubinskas in September, just three weeks before their wedding.
The 40-year-old personal trainer has since been linked to 34-year-old sex writer Helen Chik.
