Channel Four has a new show in store, said to be the perfect cross between The Traitors and Big Brother.
Josh Must Win, previously titled Alan Must Win, will hit UK screens in March, with TOWIE’s Gemma Collins set to appear.
The new eight-part series, presented by Nick Grimshaw, will see a group of contestants compete in a popularity contest in a new and unique environment.
But what they don’t know is that their fake popularity show β The Favorite β is just a front for a much bigger game being played.
While the contestants are busy trying to be the most popular, they are none the wiser that a group of celebrities secretly live next door.

The celebrities – Amber Rose Gill, Pete Wicks and Vicky Pattison – will play their own game alongside the contestants selected from the general public.
They will do everything they can to make sure Josh. Must. TO WIN. They will use every trick in the book as they will use sneaky tactics to turn the game in their favor.
From assigning tasks and unveiling crazy format changes to perfecting manipulation tactics, the celebrities will do everything they can to ensure Josh’s victory.
Gemma’s role in the new show is yet to be confirmed by C4 bosses, but the modern twist on the reality show format will redefine the rules of engagement and has the potential to transform Josh’s life forever.
Announcing the series, Nick Grimshaw wrote on his social media: ‘I’m so excited to say I have a brand new show for you!
‘Last year we spent some time in lockdown working on a brand new experimental reality show with just one simple mission: Josh Must Win. With the experience of these three reality show legends and my sneaky, double-edged presenting role, can we make this happen?
‘With no script and no plan this is like no show I’ve ever done before, we had so much fun and I just fell in love with the whole thing, hopefully you’ll love it too. We’ve had a real ride.
‘I can’t wait for you to see it! Josh Must Win is coming soon to e4 and c4’.

The project has reportedly been in the works since last summer, but C4 bosses felt there was a big demand for quirky new formats following the success of BBC’s The Traitors.
Commissioner editor Mel Bezalel said: ‘At E4 we’re completely obsessed with the reality that drives viewing of All 4, and we’re excited to take the genre in a completely (and sneaky) new direction.
‘This is a show that involves celebrities in a completely different way, using their unique skills and experiences to manipulate the gameplay β with entertaining and surprising results. This is a TV event not to be missed.β
A TV source said this the sun: ‘This buy-one-get-one-free show is a format we’ve never seen before.
‘The Traitors showed how something intellectual, which puts a twist on the standard reality genre, can really fly.
‘Bosses hope Josh Must Win will shake things up in the same way and capture viewers’ imaginations.
‘The celebrities were spotted back in April last year when the project had the working title Alan Must Win, but things have moved on since then.
‘The celebrities will do everything they can to influence the game – setting tasks, introducing twists and using everything they have learned about reality shows and popularity to ensure Josh’s triumph.
βThe bigger picture, of course, is a look at what it takes to be popular today.
‘Is it the dry humor of Big Brother winner Jordan Sangha? Or the childlike innocence of Harry Clark from The Traitors?’
