Channel 4 in chaos as Frasier interrupted broadcast with ‘surreal’ frozen scenes amid technical blunders
Channel 4 faced pandemonium on Wednesday when screens froze during a Frasier broadcast.
Due to technical problems, just before the morning’s third episode aired, the screen hung on a line of text from the show.
It said, “Out with dad,” and because it stayed in the same place, the audio played without the associated scenes.
The screen issue, one of many the broadcaster has faced in recent months, has left viewers confused.
One person wrote on Twitter, “Channel 4 froze on this Frasier caption for several minutes as the sound continued to play. Surreal.’

In 2021, viewers were once again confused and annoyed as Channel 4 was hit with even more technical issues.
A message appeared on viewers’ screens saying “Programs will continue soon” as viewers waited for Kirstie and Phil’s Love It Or List It at 8pm.
Viewers took to Twitter to share their frustration, with one saying the channel was down for more than “five minutes” and another saying the schedule had randomly “jumped back” to an earlier installment of Grand Designs.
Others say the channel skipped a series of advertising sections, before joking that they were glad Channel 4 had ‘dropped the advertising’.
One tweeted: “Channel4 has been down for 5 minutes. Gremlins have struck.”
Another added, “They even cut the guy’s voiceover. Everything is OK. Channel 4′.
One Twitter user said: “I’ve seen technical issues on Channel 4 before, but never on this scale.”
Others, however, took it more lightly, with one Twitter user quipping, “Channel 4 haven’t paid their electric bill?”.

Meanwhile, comedian Aisling Bea took to Twitter to share the news that her show This Way Up had been pushed back in the schedule.
In a tweet, she said, “Guys! Channel 4 has a technical issue & #ThisWayUp now starts at 945 not 10 which is a kick in the b****s for anyone who was planning on watching at 10 and doesn’t see this but listen up.. the universe is always testing us with its “humour”.’
