Channel 10 is thrown into chaos as The Project disappears from screens across the country and viewers aren’t happy: ‘What a dog’s dinner!’

Viewers of The Project were shocked on Wednesday night when Channel Ten’s news program suddenly went off air.

Fans were enjoying the talk show at home when it was suddenly halted after the cast and crew were forced to ‘evacuate the building’.

It wasn’t long before The Project’s X-feed was lighting up like a Christmas tree.

“Is there a power outage in the studio?” asked one surprised viewer.

“Unforeseen circumstances? A little more explanation is deserved. Broken camera? Medical incident?” asked another.

“Have you lost power?” wrote another

‘WTF just happened? Your show just disappeared. Now I’m watching a dog adoption show,’ another commented.

“What happened to the show? It’s a dog kennel,” wrote another.

“It looks like a mess at the moment on The Project,” another fan joked.

In a message shared by the program with X, it was revealed that a fire alarm went off in the studio, causing the show to be abruptly halted.

Some team members quickly posted a livestream of the evacuation on Instagram, with one joking that Waleed Aly and Sarah Harris were “cut out.”

“The fire alarm has gone off and we need to evacuate,” the crew member said.

“It seems like fire safety is more important than infotainment. That seems crazy to me,” they joked as they walked down the building’s stairs.

‘But remember, these are the rules of evacuation in show business, which means the kids and celebrities go first, and then the regular people.

“So, Waleed and Sarah, they were taken out of here while we were taking the stairs.”

The Project was back on at 7:10pm.

More to come.
