Channel 10 takes to Instagram to issue stern warning ahead of The Bachelors premiere: ‘Dear viewers…’

Channel 10 does not allow fans of The Bachelors to bully or troll contestants on their official Instagram page.

When the new season kicked off on Sunday, the network shared a post on Instagram warning that anyone who wanted to be cruel would be ousted.

The message read: 'Dear friendly viewers, join us for our most romantic season yet as we journey through a trilogy of courtship and love.

“We encourage you to indulge in the celebration and share your thoughts and joy in the comment sections… but be warned, we maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of negativity and offensive behavior,” they continued.

'Our social pages, similar to a royal ball, are closely monitored. Comments that tarnish the honor of our leading bachelors and ladies will be promptly deleted.

“Now that these formalities are out of the way, sit back and enjoy the new season of The Bachelors.”

The Bachelors this season are Luke Bateman, Wesley Senna Cortes and Ben Waddel.

Despite shocking ratings for last season, which featured three bachelorettes instead of one, Channel 10 has decided to make another attempt to revive its flagship franchise.

“Channel 10 is thrilled with the streaming numbers and the new direction the show has taken,” a source told Ny Breaking Australia.

The dating show, known for its cringeworthy moments and rose ceremonies, has managed to survive thanks to its video-on-demand (VOD) audience, the insider said.

“They are incredibly excited to bring it out for another season, which proves that love conquers all – even low ratings!”

“It's not just about how many people tune in anymore, and shows like Love Island Australia are a great example of that,” they explained.

'The bachelor's degree is doing surprisingly well on demand, and that is what really counts in 2023.'
