Channel 10 star stuns fans as he reveals his secret State of Origin past: ‘That’s all time’
Grant Denyer has stunned friends and fans after sharing a series of throwback photos that reveal the TV veteran’s “hidden past” with the NRL’s State of Origin.
The 46-year-old Deal or No Deal presenter acted as ball boy during the infamous clash between the Blues and Maroons at the MCG in 1995.
The bloody match degenerated into an all-out brawl just minutes after kick-off and has since become known as one of the most memorable games in the history of the game.
A series of photos shows a barely recognizable 16-year-old Grant in skin-tight shorts about to run onto the field.
Another photo shows the fresh-faced blonde on the sidelines in his ball boy uniform, watching as the referee calls a play after a tackle during another play in the series.
Grant posted the photos to his Instagram ahead of NSW’s stunning win over Brisbane in Melbourne on Wednesday.
“Absolutely insane experience to be chosen as a ball boy and be there for the last great all-in brawl in sport,” Grant wrote in the caption.

“It was wild,” he continued.
‘You could feel the tension in the rooms with the players before the match and there were whispers that the match would start early… and within four minutes of the second game of the series the match just blew up! it was huge.
‘The sound of bodies on bodies was deafening, it was insane!’

“Recognize young children, give them opportunities and it can really change lives,” he said.
Followers flocked to the stock.
“Holy s*** bro, that’s all,” the Bachelor Osher Günsberg posted.
Meanwhile, other fans teased Grant about his teenage looks.
‘Do you still have those shorts? I’m asking for a friend,” one follower joked, while another posted: “Haven’t changed a bit.”
Meanwhile, Mrs. Chezzi seemed impressed with her husband’s shapely legs.
“Wowie legs 11,” she said on Grant’s message board.
It comes after the former Seven stalwart expressed ‘surprise’ that the makers of the new Top Gear Australia never asked him to audition for the famous car show.
The Deal or No Deal host, who is widely known for his motorsport skills, admitted he would have loved to be asked to appear on the popular lifestyle series, which is currently streaming on Paramount+.
“That would be fun,” Grant said in an interview with TV Tonight.
The former TV weatherman added that he was jealous of the new hosts of the rebooted fan favorite, featuring Beau Ryan, Jonathan LaPaglia and Blair Joscelyne.
