speaking to tv tonightParamount ANZ’s Daniel Monaghan said they were keen to endorse the two shows due to their high quality and critical acclaim.

Monaghan said that The Traitors “deserved more of an audience” and praised the production company for how they put together the series.

“I think when you put something like The Traitors on and it doesn’t have as strong numbers as you think it deserves, you would look at the quality of the show and think, ‘Can you grow it?’

‘That’s what we’ll be looking at…particularly with the acting (of the UK series), he deserves better.’

Monaghan said the same about The Amazing Race Australia, which has delivered decent but not overly impressive numbers for the network.

‘The Amazing Race Australia is one of the biggest formats in the world. I think it’s worth revisiting. We are certainly looking at it the same way we are looking at traitors,” he said.
