Nathan Tella’s hat-trick saw runaway Championship leaders Burnley clinch a dominant 3-1 win at Hull City.
Tella scored his second hat trick of the season as Vincent Kompany’s side ended Hull’s seven-game unbeaten home league run.
It was a 14th win in their last 17 games and the Clarets now need nine points from their remaining nine games to seal an instant return to the Premier League.
Luton Town continued their decent form after Carlton Morris’s header helped the Hatters consolidate fourth place with a 1-0 win against Bristol City.

And Cardiff drew 1-1 with West Bromwich to open a four-point gap over Blackpool, who are third from bottom.
