Chainsaw massacre ‘House of Horrors’ quest game goes tragically wrong as fire erupts in mocked up ‘dungeon’ with participants still handcuffed to chairs leaving two dead

A chainsaw-themed mission game has gone tragically wrong. A fire has broken out in a mock “dungeon” with the participants still chained to their chairs. Two people have died.

Newlywed Asiyat, 19, died just five days after her wedding while taking part in a treasure hunt in a ‘House of Terrors’ with her new husband Said, 21, and her girlfriend Madina, 25.

Asiyat was tied by his hands to a chair in the dungeon as part of a horror game in the basement of a house in the Russian city of Makhachkala.

Her friend Madina, a personal trainer, was also tied to a chair when the game’s animator doused his glove with gasoline and set it on fire “to increase the feeling of fear.” He then dropped the can of gasoline, causing the fire.

Madina suffered fatal burns covering 97 percent of her body and Asiyat died of carbon monoxide poisoning, while her husband, Said, is still in the hospital fighting for his life, with 50 percent burns. He doesn’t know his new wife is dead.

The animator reportedly told the Russian Investigative Committee that the chainsaw caught fire after he dropped the can of gasoline.

The victims were locked in the dark horror room and could not escape. The staff of the ‘attraction’ could not find the keys to unlock the victims.

People in a nearby cafe saw smoke and called firefighters, who rushed inside. Asiyat, the daughter of the chief physician at the city’s main hospital, and Madina were reportedly alive when rescuers found them, but died later in hospital.

A witness stated: ‘To scare the girl, they first handcuffed her, chained her to a chair and then threw lighters at her. They wanted to simulate arson, to scare her.

“They turned on a lighter and the girl caught fire. Her boyfriend tried to put it out and a man tried to find fire extinguishers. When he came back, both women were unconscious. One was burning on a chair.”

A source in the family said, “My sister Asiyat got married last week. She asked her husband to come along on this mission. During the mission, the animator handcuffed 25-year-old Madina.

‘He went to play a trick, doused her with fuel and hit her with a lighter to scare her, and the fire broke out. Madina started burning.

‘Asiysat’s man took off his T-shirt and tried to put it out, but he couldn’t. He ran outside to get a fire extinguisher, it was hard to get out, it was dark and there were labyrinths everywhere.

‘He tried to break the bars of the window but couldn’t… He searched for the women with his hands and tripped over Asiyat, while he was trying to save her friend.’
