Cesc Fabregas ‘could be EVICTED from luxury Swiss apartment because he owes £30,000 in rent and bills and has not responded to repeated warnings’
Cesc Fabregas and his family are reportedly at risk of being evicted from their luxury apartment in Switzerland after falling £30,000 behind on payments to their landlord.
The Spaniard is said to have said nothing despite repeated warnings from the landlord and is being taken to court over CHF 34,000 in unpaid rent and bills.
It is an alarming episode for Fabregas, who is the manager of new Serie A club Como across the border and is in the relegation zone after four games.
He, his family and his cats, who are now at risk of becoming homeless, are staying in an apartment on the lake in the town of Bissone, which is about a 40-minute drive from Como.
The landlord has filed an eviction request and the case has ended up in court. The judge’s ruling is expected in the coming days, according to the Italian news agency LiberaTV.

If Fabregas is found guilty, police have the power to evict Fabregas, his wife Daniella Semaan and their five children – Maria, Joseph, Lia, Capri and Leonardo – from the estate.
LiberaTV claims to have seen Fabregas’ accounts and communications.
“We have tried to contact Fabregas’ lawyers, but without success,” the landlord said.
However, Fabregas’ lawyer insists he has paid his bills. “All rent payments to date have been made in full,” they said.
‘Some were not ready on time because there were a lot of errors and problems with the building.’
Fabregas and Daniella have posted numerous photos from the balcony of their apartment, overlooking Lake Lugano.
The Arsenal and Chelsea legend was appointed Como manager last summer, having served as assistant during the club’s promotion from Serie B last season.
Their season got off to a slow start despite signing Raphael Varane, Pepe Reina, Sergi Roberto, Alberto Moreno and Andrea Belotti last summer.
Despite a string of high-profile signings, including Raphael Varane, Como are struggling
On the opening day they suffered a 3-0 defeat to Juventus and also lost 1-0 at Udinese. They drew against Cagliari and Bologna.
Como were also eliminated in the first round of the Italian Cup by Serie B bottom side Sampdoria on penalties.
