CES 2025 day 3: The 11 best gadgets we saw, from Lenovo’s rollable laptop to Panasonic’s new flagship OLED TV

We’ve already seen a wealth of gadgets and news from CES 2025, but the pace isn’t slowing down for the third day of the big tech show – and we still want to bring you the best and coolest picks from the show (and there are tons lots of product launches to browse).

The usual CES caveats apply: Many of these products are still in the concept or early development stages, so you might not be able to get your hands on them right away. However, they all point towards an exciting 2025 for anyone interested in technology. So sit back and let us guide you through the 11 most beautiful things we saw on this third day of CES 2025…
1. Lenovo Thinkbook Plus Gen 6 rollable
- Best feature: The roll-up display… of course
Forget foldable phones – what about rollable laptop screens? That’s the era we’re now officially in, thanks to Lenovo’s ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable. With a single press of a button, the screen can be expanded from the normal 14 inches to an impressive 16.7 inches if you need some extra vertical space to work with.
This is a pretty decent laptop too, apart from the main party trick: you get an Intel Core Ultra 200V processor, up to 32GB of RAM and up to 1TB of SSD storage, so you can get some serious computing work done on it. The laptop will apparently be on sale this year, although we are still waiting for a price…
2. PocketBook InkPoster
- Best feature: That glorious E Ink screen
The PocketBook InkPoster is exactly the kind of gadget that CES is about: a sleek, innovative, desirable piece of technology that’s on the expensive side but will impress anyone who sees it. It is a premium digital art display, allowing you to continuously switch between the artworks displayed on your walls.
Because the panel uses E Ink technology, the power requirement is much lower than a standard screen – and it also makes the art look more traditional and authentic. Three different sizes will be available over the year, although you may have to save up a bit to afford one – prices start at an eye-watering $599 (about £485 / AU$970), rising into four figures.
3. Kanto UKI bookshelf speakers
- Best feature: It’s a matter of looks and price tag
If you’re looking for some incredibly cute bookshelf speakers that won’t break the bank, then the new Kanto UKIs might be for you.
We haven’t managed to listen to it at CES 2025 yet, but if the UKI speakers sound half as good as the company’s excellent Ren speakers, then we’ll be big fans indeed.
While you can’t buy them yet (the only ones at CES are prototypes), they’ll launch in the second half of 2025 for just $199 / £199 (about AU$319.99). On paper, that’s a serious bargain – and you can also choose from heady black, white, cobalt and sage colours.
4. KaraPod
- Best feature: There is no need to add water
We’ve seen a lot of coffee machines at Ny Breaking, but the KaraPod has still managed to grab our attention: its unique selling point is the way it works as both a dehumidifier and a coffee maker, using the condensed water it collects for you. drinks. A nice environmentally friendly idea? Or just a bit on the weird side?
According to the team behind the KaraPod, this is all completely safe, even though your coffee may taste very different. There’s certainly some appeal in a coffee maker whose water tank never needs to be refilled, and the machine won’t cost you much either – it will soon be available directly from Karawater.
5. Razor blade 16
- Best feature: Graphics power from Nvidia of the highest level
The Nvidia RTX 5090 is now official (see yesterday’s CES news), meaning laptops with the GPU inside could be revealed – like the Razer Blade 16, for example. This is an absolute beast of a gaming laptop, with the aforementioned graphics and the high-end AMD AI 9 HX 370 CPU.
This being a Razer laptop, we expect impeccable build quality, and the Blade 16 also comes with a high-resolution 240Hz OLED display and a new vapor chamber cooling system. We’re still waiting to find out how much it costs, but it should be available and available for purchase before the end of March.
6. Nanoleaf 4D V2
- Best feature: Easily attaches to any television
Nanoleaf once again takes on the Philips Ambilight system with a smart light that changes color and flows with what’s displayed on your TV. Say hello to the Nanoleaf 4D V2, which combines a small camera (for looking at your TV screen) with a bendable light strip that fits around the back of your big screen.
From what we saw of the product at CES 2025, it should be easier to mount than most other systems of its kind, as there are no fiddly adhesive brackets – the strip simply attaches directly to the back of your TV . It’ll be released later this year and we hope the price is comparable to the original Nanoleaf 4D.
7. Asus ROG Strix scar
- Best feature: Tool-free upgrades for more storage space
Asus treated us to a host of new laptops at CES 2025, and the ROG Strix Scar models are particular highlights: the 16-inch and 18-inch laptops bring next-generation Intel and Nvidia parts (up to a RTX 5090 for the graphics card), while it also features up to 64 GB of RAM and up to 2 TB of SSD storage space on board.
Add in 2.5K mini-LED displays (with 3ms response times and 240Hz refresh rates), plus unnecessary upgrades to the SSD if you ever need it, and it’s a truly impressive package – and no doubt an expensive one copy, if the prices are made official. These laptops can handle absolutely anything and more.
8. Swann Xtreme4K
- Best feature: AI defends your home
We’re all for AI when it adds features that are actually useful, and that’s the case with the new Swann Xtreem4K, one of several new tech home security products introduced by Swann at CES 2025. The security camera has an AI assistant on board, which can repel intruders or welcome guests on your behalf.
The idea is that the device is smart enough to recognize whether detected people are friends or enemies, and respond accordingly, even when you’re not there. The impressive-looking camera works wirelessly, offering three months between battery charges and giving you a full-colour 4K video feed day and night.
9. BMW Panoramic iDrive
- Best feature: A super smart full screen aesthetic
BMW has taken the opportunity of CES 2025 to introduce its next-generation iDrive system for 2025 – and there’s a lot of screen here. The new full-width head-up display stretches from pillar to pillar in front of the driver and displays virtually all the information you want to know on the road.
The full title is BMW Panoramic iDrive, and it will appear first in the Neue Klasse X electric SUV (and in all BMW cars in the future). BMW has also upgraded the operating system that underpins its in-car offering, and there will be plenty of customization options to play with when you get behind the wheel. On the other hand, fans of physical buttons may be less impressed.
10. Panasonic Z95B OLED TV
- Best feature: The brightest OLED TV yet
Televisions are always a big part of the story at any CES, and this year is no different. One of this year’s highlights is Panasonic’s new Z95B OLED, which features a next-gen display stack and cooling system to provide a noticeable improvement over the Panasonic Z95A OLED (which was already fantastic).
One of the benefits of having the Ny Breaking team on the show floor in Las Vegas is that we can get in-person previews of the latest technology launching in 2025 – and based on our early experiences with the Z95B, this will be a new development mean. standard for OLED TV technology, whenever Panasonic decides to make it available for sale.
11. Honda Series 0 SUV and sedan
- Best feature: Lighter, more elegant designs
Honda is also announcing itself at CES 2025, showing off a bold lineup of new electric vehicles, including the Series 0 SUV and sedan. These bikes bring some dramatic curves, as well as tweaked headlight designs and new paint jobs compared to what we’ve seen from previous prototypes.
These cars are based on Honda’s new ‘Thin, Light, and Wise’ philosophy, which it promises will result in EVs that are lighter and more elegant than the cars we have now. Unfortunately, it will be a while before we can drive these cars ourselves, as they will be fully released in 2026.
