Celtic’s transfer window set to start with exits for both Holm and Palma as MLS clubs look at Parkhead pair
Los Angeles FC completes a loan deal for Celtic outcast Odin Thiago Holm.
And Honduran winger Luis Palma is also attracting major interest from MLS clubs.
Norwegian midfielder Holm, signed from Valerenga for £3million, has dropped into midfield at Parkhead.
The 21-year-old has made just three first-team appearances this season, with the arrivals of Arne Engels, Paulo Bernardo and Luke McCowan reducing his playing time since August.
Initially LAFA wanted to sign out-of-favour winger Palma, but LAFA were unable to secure a deal.
When Holm was offered instead, the loss of on-loan midfielders Eduard Atuesta from Palmeiras and Lewis O’Brien from Nottingham Forest convinced the Californian side to make the move.

Luis Palma is another Celtic star deemed surplus to requirements by Rodgers
The MLS season will start in mid-February and clubs will report on the preseason in the coming weeks.
Brendan Rodgers is in the market for one, possibly two wingers in the January window.
And that will pave the way for Palma to look for first-team football.
The 24-year-old Honduran, signed for £3million from Aris Salonika, has made 10 appearances this season after injuries to James Forrest and Nicholas Kuhn but remains surplus to requirements.
Defender Stephen Welsh also wants to go out in search of minutes, with Belgian club KV Mechelen interested.
