Celtics star Derrick White gets hit in the HEAD while watching Deion Sanders’ Colorado football team

  • Derrick White was in Colorado to watch his former school play against their rivals
  • But things turned violent when Colorado began to take control of the game

Celtics star Derrick White was involved in a physical altercation during an American football game in Colorado last weekend.

White, who played for the school’s basketball team from 2015 to 2017, was in Boulder to watch Deion Sanders’ team play rival Colorado State.

And in the second quarter things got turbulent, with TMZ Report that the Boston guard got into a “verbal altercation” with some Colorado State fans nearby.

From that moment on, a violent situation developed when a man threw his arm against White’s head and even knocked his hat off his head.

That decision led to a brawl (not just between White and the other players) when he tried to extend his hand to the CSU fans.

However, others intervened to separate White from the agitating fans and the violence eventually subsided after a few minutes of wrestling.

At one point, White himself played the role of peacemaker, dragging a Colorado fan away from a CSU fan and gently placing him on the ground.

White helped the fan to his feet and TMZ reported that police arrived on the scene to de-escalate the situation.

The outlet also reported that no police report had been filed, basing their claim on what they had heard from the police.

Colorado defeated their rivals 28-9.

White won his first NBA championship in June when the Celtics defeated the Mavericks in a five-game NBA Finals.

He then went to Paris with the US basketball team for the Olympic Games, where he also won a gold medal.
