Celtic is ‘shocked and saddened’ by the death of 38-year-old former player Landry N’Guemo, the club said.
The former Cameroon international, who spent the 2009-2010 season on loan from Nancy at Celtic Park, died in a road accident in his native country.
A statement said: ‘Everyone at Celtic Football Club is shocked and saddened by the news that Landry N’Guemo has passed away at the age of 38.
‘The thoughts and prayers of everyone at the Club are with Landry’s family and friends at this sad time.’
N’Guemo returned to Nancy to coach the Under-16 team after the end of his playing career.

N’Guemo, who spent the 2009/10 season on loan at Celtic before moving on to spells in France and Turkey, was involved in a car crash earlier this week
In total he made over 40 appearances for Celtic during his loan spell at Nancy, under both Tony Mowbray and Neil Lennon. He looked set to sign a permanent contract after the loan, but no agreement could be reached and he ended up back at Nancy, where he made a total of 127 appearances.
He then moved to France, where he first played for Bordeaux, then for Saint-Etienne and then for Akhisar Belediyespor and Kayserispor in Turkey.
He finished his career in Norway at Kongsvinger, before retiring in 2019.
At international level, he played 42 times for Cameroon, scoring three times.
Cameroonian authorities revealed that the former midfielder had died in an accident earlier this week.
