Brendan Rodgers warned Enzo Maresca that coaching Leicester City does not compare to the pressure of coaching Chelsea.
Rodgers has worked for Chelsea and has been manager of Leicester. The Northern Irishman says Maresca must embrace the challenge that awaits him.
“I was surprised that Mauricio Pochettino went because at the end you saw what he was trying to do and the players went along with it,” said Rodgers, the Celtic manager, ahead of his club’s match against Chelsea last night.
“I was disappointed for him that he couldn’t continue with his job. Enzo came in after doing very, very well at Leicester, but Chelsea is a completely different challenge. The expectation around Chelsea, to be one of the most successful clubs in the world, will always be there.

‘They have some fantastic players and I’m sure Enzo will do really well there.
‘Trying to convince players how you want to play is always the challenge. That’s the first task.’
