Celine Dion sang a tune or two during her first public appearance in almost three and a half years.
Dion, 55, announced in December 2022 that she had been diagnosed with stiff person syndrome, a rare neurological disease that causes severe spasms.
The singer – born near Montreal and living in Las Vegas – attended an NHL hockey game between the Vegas Golden Knights and Montreal Canadians.
Montreal Canadiens VP of hockey communications Chantal Machabée revealed to People that Dion “sang a few notes” and it was “an incredible moment.”
Dion, 55, — who also recently stepped out for a Katy Perry concert in Vegas — announced in December 2022 that she had been diagnosed with “stiff person syndrome,” a rare neurological disease that causes severe spasms.

Machabee added that Dion looked “so happy” for the outing, the first time she had been in public since 2020.
“She’s been through a lot, and to see her smiling like that and being so happy… it’s amazing,” Machabée says of Dion.
“I know she has good days and bad days, but this was a very good day and it was reassuring,” Machabée added.
Machabée also revealed that Dion even sang “a few notes,” although she gave no further details.
‘It was an incredible moment. She is an amazing woman,” Machabée continued.
She also included photos with her and Dion after the game in the Canadiens locker room, where she met the team.
‘Nice visit yesterday during our game in Vegas. Thank you @celinedion for your great generosity. The whole team was very happy to meet you and your family,” Machabée wrote in the post.
The My Heart Will Go On singer was all smiles in a fashionable brown sweater and sweats with a white putffer vest and white sneakers.
