Celine Dion blasts Donald Trump after discovering he used her iconic song at a campaign rally in Montana without permission

Celine Dion has ridiculed Donald Trump for playing the Titanic theme song at a campaign rally without her permission.

Her voice was heard as she sang the classic 1998 song “My Heart Will Go On” over the speakers in Bozeman, Montana, shortly before Trump took the stage on Friday.

Dion made it clear on Saturday that the use of “video, recording, musical performance and likeness of Celine Dion” was unauthorized.

“This use is in no way authorized and Celine Dion does not condone this or any similar use,” she said in a statement along with her record label Sony.

Dion then mocked Trump’s choice, adding: “…And really, THAT song?”

An epic ballad that conjures up images of a doomed ship crashing into a massive iceberg. Not the best analogy for a presidential campaign.

Worse yet, it was played just hours after Trump’s plane en route to Bozeman was forced to divert to Billings due to a “mechanical problem.”

Some political pundits on social media saw the song as a metaphor for the Trump campaign’s waning momentum, which seemed all but assured just weeks after a November victory.

One of them even suggested that there might be a “pro-Kamala Harris” mole secretly trying to undermine Trump’s re-election.

Someone said, ‘Oh no, Trump’s rally in Montana features a video of Celine singing “My Heart Will Go On” from the movie Titanic. Is the rally coordinator trolling Trump?’

“Seems to me like a cry for help from a sinking ship. Has anyone checked on their campaign leaders, are they being held hostage or maybe waterboarded,” said another.

Many people noted the irony in the theme song from a disaster film that played during the event.

“Trump says he’s going down like the Titanic,” someone said. “The irony is not lost,” another said.

“How fitting, because the Trump campaign is like the Titanic right now. Everyone’s sitting in the bar drinking and telling themselves the ship isn’t sinking,” a third person said.

Someone made a meme movie poster reenacting a scene from James Cameron’s 1997 film starring Trump and Vance, with the caption: “Collide with failure. This November.”

“Bro, the Trump campaign just keeps giving. These are real SNL skits. Who the f**k plays a song that’s known for sinking a ship at a rally for a campaign that’s sinking,” one person said.

“Isn’t the Titanic metaphor a bit over the top,” said another.

Others wondered whether the Canadian singer had given Trump’s team permission to play her song.

“Celine seems like this really nice and compassionate legend, but you know she’s sitting on the couch at home saying, ‘Yeah, f**k no!’ in French,” someone wrote.

“He can’t have Celine Dion, unfortunately,” said a second person.

“Celine Dion, are you getting paid for this? Maybe you should call your lawyer. There’s a paycheck waiting for you here,” said another.

Celine’s statement comes on a difficult day for the Trump campaign.

A new poll by The New York Times On Saturday, the outlet published a report showing that Harris now has a four-point lead over Trump in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin — all key states in the fight.

Hours later, the Trump campaign announced it had been hacked, indicating that Iran was a target of their campaign.

The campaign blamed “foreign sources hostile to the United States” and cited a Microsoft report on Friday that said Iranian hackers had attempted to hack a senior presidential campaign official.

Trump also spent part of the week fending off criticism over a story alleging he was nearly involved in a helicopter crash with former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown.

On Friday night, he was accused of confusing Brown with another black lawmaker, former California state senator Nate Holden.

Holden told Politico that he and Trump were nearly in a helicopter crash in 1990, saying, “Willie’s the short black guy who lives in San Francisco. I’m a tall black guy who lives in Los Angeles.”

He laughed at the story and joked, “I guess we all look alike.”

Before the singer responded, Dion and her late husband, René Angélil, dined regularly at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago in the 1990s.

She was a fan of French chef Bernard Goupy, especially his signature Caesar salad prepared in an edible cheese bowl.

But one day, Trump decided he wasn’t going to make a real Caesar salad. He threw together the salad himself and fired Goupy.

However, Celine soon managed to hire Goupy as a chef at her estate in Jupiter, Florida.
