Celeste Barber, 40, has a new Netflix special after success of Wellmania
Comedian Celeste Barber’s new comedy special hits Netflix following the success of her scripted series Wellmania
Celeste Barber’s comedy special ‘Fine, Thanks’ hits the screens on Monday.
The star, who achieved enormous success with her Netflix series Wellmania, sees the stand-up special appear on the same streaming platform.
The special was filmed at the Sydney Opera House during her live tour.
In it, the comic talks about celebrity sex toys, why hot girls can’t dance, and her misadventure after being invited to Coachella.
It comes after Celeste said she won’t hold back when it comes to alleviating the social pressure many women feel about their bodies.

“As women, we are so often taught to abuse our bodies and hate our bodies,” she said in an interview with the ABC.
Speaking on her new Netflix show Wellmania, Celeste said she enjoys “using” her body for laughs.
“It takes quite a bit of training, but I just refuse to hate the way I look,” she said.
The special, ‘Fine Thanks’, is her stand-up show that was filmed at the Sydney Opera House during her live tour.
“And I go into a lot of things by thinking that, and I think that’s how it comes across — and how I got where I am.”
In her comedy-drama Wellmania, which was released on Netflix on March 29, Celeste plays Liv, a woman who embarks on a “wellness journey” after a health diagnosis.
She admitted that her character is “brave”, while she says she is a bit more cautious in nature.

‘[Liv has this] the ability to live heart and soul in every moment and in every situation. She bathes in it, she marinates in it and she lives it to the core… No opportunity passes her by,” she said.
Inspired by Brigid Delaney’s novel Wellmania: Misadventures in the Search for Wellness, Celeste also served as an executive producer on the eight-part series.
Celeste also revealed that she did her own stunts in the new comedy.
