The 29-year-old Celebs Go Dating star previously said she had “never been this sick” with a mystery illness, but did not go into details about her sudden health problems
‘I am normally an open book, but as I learn more about my medical recovery, I will take the time to provide more details as I am still awaiting the results of a number of tests and would like some privacy during this time.
‘I want to reassure everyone: I am slowly recovering.
‘I want to thank you all for the encouraging words, flowers, cards and sweet messages (I always send you a private message).’
Ella, who became the first transgender bride on the British version of Married At First Sight UK, admitted she missed work and would continue with her Pride activities, which she is “so passionate about.”
She said, “I can’t wait to get back to work full time and filming of course, CGD!”
‘I’m taking a few more days to rest and recover but tomorrow I’m going to Bristol Pride for my speech at 4pm. I’m so passionate about it and can’t wait to see many of you there to celebrate my hometown Pride!
‘Thank you again and I love you all, Ella x’.
Earlier this month, the reality star, who is in the middle of filming season 13 of E4’s Celebs Go Dating, admitted that pursuing romance in front of the cameras had “triggered” her.

Ella rose to fame when she appeared on Married At First Sight in 2023, making history as the first transgender bride on the British version
She said on her Instagram Stories: ‘I’m really excited about this journey but I almost decided to quit recently. It just became too much.
‘It was quite triggering. I don’t know what I expected. I thought it would be easy and a piece of cake.
Ella explained that starring on the E4 dating show is more of a ‘solo’ experience than MAFS, but she doesn’t want to use her platform solely to talk about her transition, which began at the age of 16.
She continued: ‘This is definitely more of a solo journey than MAFS. With Celebs Go Dating you find out what you’re doing right, what you’re doing wrong, what you need to work on.’
She concluded: ‘Now I have to be completely vulnerable and be myself, which is not just the crazy, loud, fun Ella. I’m definitely a lot more serious and tame.’
Ella made history as the first transgender contestant on Celebs Go Dating and during her time on MAFS she started dating JJ Slater, Katie Price’s current boyfriend.
Ella was ‘betrayed’ by Katie when the former glamour model stole her ex and Katie is now said to be nervous about what Ella will reveal.
Other stars who could join the show include Coronation Street’s Helen Flanagan and original Love Island actor Chris Taylor.
