Former TOWIE star Pete, 36, previously competed in the 2022 edition of the show but pulled out after an injury.

He will now appear on the show at the same time as he appears on the BBC programme Strictly Come Dancing.

Pete was forced to pull out of his first appearance on the show after a stunt went wrong.

The star was ordered to jump from a helicopter into a lake, where he was knocked unconscious with his backpack, hit the surface of the water at full speed and was left face down in the water.

Fortunately, he was rescued by the show’s former special services staff and health and safety team, who concluded that he had mainly suffered a few broken ribs.

Speaking about his return to the show, Pete said: ‘After I went off medical duty in Jordan, I felt like I hadn’t done my best, and that bothered me.

“So when I got the chance to go back, I did it right away. I would do it again in a heartbeat.”

Rachel added: ‘This experience was way more than I expected. I mean, considering how awful reality TV can be, this was top notch. Really top notch.’

Contestants are not eliminated, but instead are selected by the directors - Rudy Reyes, Chris Oliver, Billy Billingham, Jason Fox (pictured) - or can withdraw themselves, with those left at the end being declared the winners.

Reality TV star Bianca Gascoigne, former England rugby captain Chris Robshaw, TV presenter Cherry Healey, former professional boxer Anthony Ogogo, comedian Shazia Mirza, former Love Island contestant Georgia Harrison, reality star Bobby Norris and influencer Marnie Simpson also appear on the show.

The line-up is completed by former Olympic gymnast Ellie Downie, comedian Tez Ilyas, professional basketball player and former Love Islander Ovie Soko and world heavyweight boxing champion Lani Daniels.

Head instructor Billy Billingham also returns with his team of Foxy (Jason Fox), Rudy Reyes and Chris Oliver, who are joined by former Special Forces psychologist Dr. Alia Bojilova.

During this show, the candidates are exposed to constant cold and rain while performing a variety of SAS training exercises.

Billingham said of the new series: ‘As our course progresses, the expected standards will never deteriorate.

‘From the very first second, recruits are expected to give 100%.

“Anyone who doesn’t will be gone before they have time to apologize. Our time is priceless – we won’t waste it on someone who isn’t worth it.”

The recent singing performances come after dancer Louie Spence reportedly quit the show after just 24 hours.

The 55-year-old choreographer was reportedly shocked by how grueling the process was and walked away, reports The sun.

Louie would be ‘physically and mentally unable to keep up with the regime’.

A source told the publication: ‘He seemed delighted to be surrounded by all these handsome instructors, who all had military backgrounds and therefore expected top fitness from them.

‘But he was less enamored with the regime they had to maintain, as Louie could not keep up with them physically and mentally.

‘Despite all this, he left without any resentment and was grateful for the opportunity given to him, even though his experience was short.’

Season six of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins airs every Sunday and Monday at 9pm on Channel 4 from September 22.
