Celebrity SAS star Teddy Soares breaks down in tears as he discusses the ‘scars’ having no contact with his mother has left as he admits he’s scared to reach out to his parent

Teddy Soares broke down in tears as he opened up about not having contact with his mother on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins on Sunday.

The former Love Island star, 28, admitted he faced his “demons” by looking at the “scars” left by not having a parent in his life.

TV personality Teddy was seen in floods of tears as he said he was tough on the situation a few years ago, when he would insist he didn’t need his mother to be there for him.

But now he’s desperate to learn more about the part of his life he feels he’s missing despite not trying to contact his mother himself.

In a clip shared on his Instagram page, he said: “If you asked me two, three years ago if you needed any contact from your own mom, I would have said ‘no, I don’t care.’

“If I answer now, but… I think I’m sick of not knowing that part of who I am.”

When asked if he had contacted his mother, he said: “No. I just wasn’t brave enough.

‘And I think I’m literally the only thing stopping me.’

Teddy captioned his post: “Facing my demons In this week’s episode of @sas_vhodaresvins, I address the scars I’ve been hiding. It’s a difficult process, but that’s where the real strength comes in.’

It comes after Teddy revealed he was dating a mystery woman, six months after his divorce from Faye Winter.

Teddy met his ex on Love Island in 2021, and announced their “heartbreaking and difficult” divorce in February after a year and a half of dating.

And now, Teddy has admitted he’s found love again, and although he’s keeping his new flame’s identity under wraps, he’s revealed she’s ‘really in love’ with him.

He said Sun: ‘I’m in love right now. Well, maybe I shouldn’t say loved, but I see someone and I’m really happy.’

He continued: “It’s early days and I won’t say who it is.

“We’re just taking our time and getting to know each other.”

‘She makes me very happy. She is a total vibe. I’m not sure I should be saying all this since I haven’t talked about her before, but yeah, I like her.

‘She might not know it, but yes, I’m really in love with her.’

Teddy reportedly confided in his SAS co-stars Who Dare Win about his issues with Faye Winter months before the split rumors sparked.

While filming for the show in October last year, he is said to have spilled the details to a number of other stars, including model Danielle Lloyd and MP Matt Hancock.

The source said Sun: The cast of SAS were quite surprised during filming, as Teddy did reveal that things between him and Faye were not good and he was going to end things when he returned from filming the show.

“None of this will be shown on screen, but he certainly made no secret that their days were numbered.”

“No one in the cast was surprised, therefore, when the couple confirmed their split as they knew it was coming for months and, if anything, expected it three months ago.”
